Mother Daughter Headshots | Arlington, MA
It’s a pandemic and you need a new headshot. And then it turns out your child’s school isn’t doing school photos because of the pandemic — this mother-daughter duo decided to book a double headshot session so they could solve both in one fell swoop! We had an absolutely beautiful early evening in Arlington and had a lovely time combining the playfulness of a child-focused session with a headshot session (I’m telling you — nothing gets better smiles from a mom for her headshots than having her kiddo goofing off right next to me 🙂 ).
One of my absolute favorite moments was when I was photographing this mom, and her daughter decided to draw her mother with a stick in the dirt path (see below — I promised her a picture of her drawing would be in the final gallery). We went to a spot I go to often for headshots, but less often with families, and it was wonderful to see it through a child’s eyes with the magic of the fallen leaves, and the SUPER tall reeds (“these plants are taller than YOU!”) to some thin sticks that became a magic sword. Here are a few of my favorites from our time together, and if you find yourself in need of a new headshot, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
