A couple of months ago, a doting grandfather left me a voicemail.  When I called him back, I found out he and his in-laws wanted to get a gift certificate for a portrait session — his son and daughter-in-law had a two month old baby.  We had a lovely chat and finished the arrangements for their super thoughtful gift.  Before we got off the phone, Grandpa E said to me “I’m sure you hear this all the time, but my granddaughter is a particularly cute baby.” And you know what?  I *do* hear that all the time, AND it’s always true, too!  Baby F was SUCH a darling when I met her last weekend at almost 6 months (this is such a cute, smiley age!).  So much wonder at this new adult in her space (it’s a pandemic, so her experience with grownups who aren’t her parents has been more limited than it might been).  But while peekaboo is a bit more challenging to play while wearing a mask, I soon had her giggling.

This age is perfect for lifestyle portraits — when I got there, Baby F was just waking up from her nap, so we started in her crib.  Part of the point of lifestyle photography is to capture the important parts of a family’s life — and nothing really quite embodies that more than nap wake-up and getting changed.  We then moved onto one of Baby F’s favorite activities — reading, then had some snuggle time with mom and dad, and headed downstairs for a snack (where F got to show off her brand new spoon-holding skills!).  Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.  If you’d like to capture your family’s magic, drop me a line!  I’d love to get you on the schedule.
