Cherry Blossom Motherhood Portraits

There’s this little rotary-ish / traffic circle-ish (if you’re local, I’m sure you recognize it!) spot in town that has the most lovely late-blooming cherry trees.  I pass it several times a day on my way to and from my kids’ school and it just makes me super happy to watch it bloom.   Most of the spots on the little piece of grass, it looks like, well, a traffic circle.  Cars and trucks zooming past, random houses and a fire station in your line of sight.  It’s definitely not exactly idyllic.

But for the past few years, I’ve been so lucky to have clients who have trusted me enough to take their portraits there.  This year I was so lucky — three amazing moms asked if I would capture some motherhood portraits for them.  With children ranging in age from in-utero to **cough** thirty-something, we had a FANTASTIC time and the blossoms and families couldn’t have been more beautiful.  We had stunning weather, the youngest mobile child didn’t come even close to running into traffic (😉) and the adult mother/daughter pair were so thrilled to be reunited after more than a year apart (second doses completed just in time for the session!) that tears came to my eyes as I was photographing them.  The above are just a few of my favorites from our time together.

I would love to capture your family’s magic — reach out to get on my calendar!
